Recommended Trailer Maintenance Schedule
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

We have full time mechanics on duty during normal business hours to help you keep your trailer in top condition.

Drop your trailer off for an annual maintenance inspection and get your trailer ready for the season.

We service all brands of bumper pull and gooseneck trailers and install receiver hitches, hide-a-way hitches, and brake controllers. We also maintain a full stock of replacement parts.

Shop Hours

Monday - Friday
8:00 am - 6:00 pm

Saturday
8:00 am - 5:00 pm

 

Inspect and Service every 3 months or 3,000 miles

Structure

  • Rubber mats & floor


  • Hinges, doors, & dividers

 

Remove mats and clean with power washer. Clean and inspect floors and walls. Allow mats to dry completely before reinstallation.

Inspect and replace damaged, worn, or broken parts.

Tires and Wheels

Inspect tires for wear, check inflation pressure.

Check lug nuts for proper tightness. Replace missing bolts and nuts.

 

Inspect and Service every 6 months or 6,000 miles

  • Rotate @ 5,000 miles
  • Inspect tread and sidewalls thouroughly. Replace tires when treads are worn or sidewall is worn or has a bulge

Brakes, electric

  • Magnets

  • Controller (in tow vehicle)

 

Check wear and current draw

Check power output (amperage) and modulation

Structure

  • Roof Vents
  • Windows

 

Clean dirt buildup, lubricate hinges and slides

 

Inspect and Service every 12 months or 12,000 miles

  • Shoes and Drums

 

Check for scoring and wear. Replace per manufacture's specifications.

Jack, Drop leg Grease gears

Structure

  • Frame


  • Welds


  • Slide-outs

  • Axles and axle attachement bolts

 

Inspect all frame members, bolts, & rivets. Repair or replace damaged, worn, or broken parts.

Inspect all welds. Repair cracked or broken welds as needed.

Clean dirt buildup. Lubricate slides, shafts, and gears

Have DEALER check axles and axle attachement bolts.

 

Wheels

  • Sealed Bearings


  • Unsealed Bearings



  • Rims

 

Check and confirm free running. Replace if needed. (Sealed bearings are not serviceable)

Disassemble, clean, inspect bearings and races, repack bearings and reassemble. Replace promptly if immersed in water.

Inspect for cracks and dents, Replace as needed.
